Discount calculator
Calculate sale price and savings from an original price and discount percentage.
Tip: Enter original + percent to calculate final price. Or enter original + final to calculate percent off.
What is a discount?
A discount is a reduction from the original price. Discounts are often shown as a percentage (like 20% off) or as a fixed amount (like $10 off). A discount calculator helps you quickly compute the final price and savings without mistakes.
How to calculate discount
If a product costs Original and the discount is Percent, then: Discount amount = Original × (Percent/100) and Sale price = Original − Discount. If you instead know the final price, you can compute the discount percentage using: Percent off = (Discount / Original) × 100.
Discount formula
Discount amount = Original × (Percent/100)
Sale price = Original − Discount amount
Percent off = (Discount amount / Original) × 100
Why use this online discount calculator?
It’s useful for shopping, invoicing, and quick comparisons between deals. You can also reverse-calculate the percent off if you only know the original price and final price.
